 Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938 is a Norwegian actress and film director. Recognised as one of the greatest European actresses, Ullmann is known as the muse and frequent gloves of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman.

Early life

Ullmann was born in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter of Erik Viggo Ullmann (19071945), a Norwegian blimp engineer who was functional in Tokyo at the get older, and Janna Erbe (ne Lund; 19101996), moreover Norwegian.
